Anish Kapoor in Museum Voorlinden

Visitor looking at an early work by Anish Kapoor (@anish.kapoor@dirty_corner) in the Momentum exhibition in Museum Voorlinden (@museumvoorlinden) in Wassenaar, The Netherlands.

The artwork, “1000 Names” (1982), is part of a series of works with the same name. In this a number of indefinable forms are placed on the floor in small groups, while a single form protrudes from the wall. These are completely covered with loose pigment powder (in brilliant red, yellow, bright blue, white), by which their contours are softened. It seems as if part of the object is beneath or behind the surface of the floor or wall.
