Klaas Gubbels is a Dutch painter and sculptor with a love for the still live; both in his paintings and his sculptures. Chairs, tables and noticeably coffee pots are main motifs in his work.
The exhibition “Eindelijk weer aan Zee” (“Finally back at the seaside”) in Museum Beelden aan Zee (@museumBaZ) was beautiful although it felt a bit cramped. There was so much to show in a relatively small room. Luckily there were several larger sculptures placed outside, where the work got the space it needs!
