I finally got round to visiting Museum Beelden aan Zee (@museumBaZ), which had been on my todo list for quite a while now. The museum is beautifully situated in the dunes on the North Sea shore at Scheveningen. The building is literally placed inside the dunes, so it is hardly visible from the surroundings, while still offering a splendid view of the sea from the “Sea Room”. The museum focuses exclusively on contemporary sculpture and has an inside as well as an outside exhibition.
Since it was a Sunday the museum and sea shore were very crowded. The main exhibition, sculptures by Niki de Saint Phalle (@niki_de_saint_phalle), wasn’t really my cup of tea. The #KlaasGubbels exhibition however was! Post to follow!
