Sol LeWitt in the Kunstmuseum Den Haag

Visitors passing in front of Wall drawing # 1021 (2002) by Sol LeWitt in the Kunstmuseum in The Hague (@kunstmuseum.nl). The murals were designed by Sol LeWitt in 2002 specifically for the museum. Since the idea in this kind of conceptual art is more important than the actual execution, the murals weren’t painted by LeWitt himself, but by members of his team.

The Kunstmuseum Den Haag (formerly known as Gemeentemuseum Den Haag) and Sol LeWitt have a special bond. With LeWitt regarding the museum as one of the beautiful in the world, there are several of LeWitts works in the collection, and in effect part of the building.
